Luke Danbsy-Scott is an accomplished writer and television executive with a decade of experience in the film and television industry.
As a Development Executive, Luke develops television projects from concept to screen, ideates new television projects, works closely with writers to shape scripts and writes copy for marketing pitches to get shows sold. His development credits include Stan's record-breaking hit Bump (Seasons 2–5), Year Of (Stan), Human Error (Channel 9), and Plum (ABC).
Luke’s screenwriting spans comedy, drama and thriller as well as award winning shorts including Gloves, Hood & Lipstick, a finalist at the Robin Anderson Film Festival.
Before that Luke worked for the Global film distributor eOne in the AU/NZ Film Acquisitions Department, to write film script coverage, assessing which films to buy and sell to cinemas, working across hit releases including Judy, Top End Wedding and Babyteeth.
He also worked in the script department of The Unusual Suspects (SBS) and the production team of Blue Murder: Killer Cop (Channel 7) and Janet King (ABC).
Luke studied Advertising at AWARD School, Screenwriting and Directing at AFTRS and a Bachelor of Arts, International Relations (Hons.) at UNSW.
